Both officials have been placed in their new positions with immediate effect. Naval Kishore Chaudhary, an IAS officer from the 2013 batch, has been transferred from his role as Managing Director of Bihar State Transmission Company Limited in Patna to serve as the Executive Director of the State Health Committee, Bihar, until further notice. Chaudhary previously held additional responsibilities as the Special Secretary in the Department of Urban Development and Housing.
With this new appointment, he has been relieved of his duties in that department. Similarly, Amit Kumar Pandey, an IAS officer from the 2014 batch, has been moved from his position as Executive Director of the State Health Committee to become the Additional Secretary in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, effective immediately. The notification indicated that Pandey was also serving as the Additional Secretary in the Health Department. Following this transition, he has been released from that additional responsibility.
This administrative change by the state government is viewed as a reorganization of responsibilities in key departments such as health and revenue. The State Health Committee plays a crucial role in implementing health services and various health schemes, while the Revenue and Land Reforms Department is responsible for land administration and reforms in the state. The notification regarding these appointments was issued by Sanjay Kumar, the Special Secretary of the General Administration Department, under the directive of the Governor of Bihar.
Both officers now face the challenge of accelerating administrative functions within their respective departments.
