Eastern Railway Cancels Several Local Trains on 16 May Due to Maintenance Block
Eastern Railway has announced a traffic and power block on 16 May in connection with maintenance work on Bridge No. 92 between Samudragarh and Nabadwip Dham stations. Limited Height Subway work between Jirat and Guptipara stations will also be carried out during the block period.
According to the railway administration, the block will remain in force from 08:20 hrs. to 16:10 hrs., leading to temporary changes in train operations on affected sections.
Several EMU local trains on the Howrah, Katwa, Bandel and Sealdah routes will remain cancelled due to the scheduled work.
On the Bandel-Katwa section, EMU local trains numbered 37747, 37749 and 37751 will also not operate. Sealdah-Katwa local train number 31111 has similarly been cancelled.
In the reverse direction, Katwa-Howrah local trains numbered 37918, 37920, 37922 and 37924 will remain cancelled.
Katwa-Bandel local trains numbered 37744, 37746 and 37748 will also not run during the block period. In addition, Katwa-Sealdah local train number 31112 has been cancelled.
Train number 13465 Howrah-Malda Town Intercity Express will depart from Howrah at 20:00 hrs. instead of its scheduled departure at 14:00 hrs.
Similarly, train number 13466 Malda Town-Howrah Intercity Express will leave Malda Town at 12:05 hrs. instead of 06:05 hrs.
Passengers travelling on these services have been advised to check revised timings before commencing their journey.
Train numbers 13177 and 37916 will be the last trains before the block period in the affected sections. After completion of the maintenance work, train numbers 13465 and 37926 will become the first trains to operate after the block.

Timings Of Intercity Express Trains Revised
Eastern Railway has also revised the timings of two Intercity Express services scheduled to run on 16 May.Train number 13465 Howrah-Malda Town Intercity Express will depart from Howrah at 20:00 hrs. instead of its scheduled departure at 14:00 hrs.
Similarly, train number 13466 Malda Town-Howrah Intercity Express will leave Malda Town at 12:05 hrs. instead of 06:05 hrs.
