EPFO: What Services Are Available via MISSED CALL and SMS, and What Information Can You Obtain Through Them

EPF Balance at Your Fingertips: Missed Call & SMS Services Simplified!

If you're an EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) subscriber, checking your PF balance and recent contributions is now easier than ever—no internet or login required! You can simply give a missed call or send an SMS to get the details, but there are a few things you need to ensure first.

Step 1: UAN Must Be Ready

Make sure your Universal Account Number (UAN) is:

• Activated at the EPFO unified portal.

• Linked to at least one of these: Bank account, Aadhaar, or PAN.

Option 1: Missed Call Service

Once your UAN and mobile number are set up:

• Dial 9966044425 from your registered mobile number.

• The call will disconnect automatically—no charges.

• You'll receive an SMS with your last PF contribution and current balance.

Option 2: SMS Service

Prefer texting? Use the SMS facility:

• Send a message in this format:

EPFOHO UAN
(To get info in English, just this is enough.)

• To get the message in your preferred language, add the first three letters of the language.

Example: EPFOHO UAN TEL (for Telugu)

• Send this SMS to 7738299899.

Supported languages include: English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali.
