Hits on government sites during Operation Sindoor: NIA begins probe
NEW DELHI: NIA conducted searches at five locations in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Bihar and Delhi Monday in connection with attempted distributed denial of service attacks against govt websites during Operation Sindoor . The accused in the Gujarat cyber terrorism case - registered on June 25, 2025 - had attempted sophisticated DDoS attacks against 54 websites of govt entities, targeting critical computer resources and CII . Two accused have already been arrested.
During probe, suspects who had provided support and assistance to the accused were identified through technical analysis. Searches were conducted and digital devices and documents containing incriminating material related to hacking activities were seized. The suspects were examined regarding their association with the accused in custody.
