Delhi Weather Forecast: Drizzle, Thunderstorms, and Strong Winds

Residents of Delhi can expect a partially cloudy sky tomorrow morning, turning completely overcast by afternoon. Drizzle or very light rainfall may occur between afternoon and evening, accompanied by thunderstorms. Strong southwest winds blowing at 20–30 km/h are also likely, creating unsettled weather in the Delhi-NCR region.

Uttar Pradesh: Heat Giving Way to Weather Change

Uttar Pradesh is currently facing high temperatures and intense sunshine, causing discomfort in many areas. However, the IMD predicts a change as clear skies over the next 48 hours could push temperatures up by around 2°C. With a Western Disturbance set to activate from April 3, residents should prepare for a rapid shift in weather conditions.

Bihar Weather Update: Relief from Heat Expected

Bihar is experiencing mixed weather conditions. Meteorologists have predicted that April 5 may bring much-needed relief from the current heatwave. Strong winds accompanied by light to moderate rainfall are expected as a new weather system becomes active, giving residents a temporary respite from rising temperatures.

Rajasthan Weather Forecast: Light to Moderate Rainfall Expected

Under the influence of a Western Disturbance, several areas in Rajasthan may receive light to moderate rainfall in the 24 hours leading up to Thursday morning. The Jaipur Meteorological Centre recorded 12 mm of rainfall in Deogarh (Rajsamand), with maximum temperatures hitting 38.6°C in Chittorgarh and minimums dropping to 18.2°C in Alwar.

Mountainous Regions: Snowfall, Rain, and Strong Winds

The hilly areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand will continue to witness active weather from April 3–6. Light to moderate rainfall is likely, along with occasional snowfall in higher altitudes. Thunderstorms, strong winds of 40–50 km/h, and gales reaching 70 km/h are also expected. Hailstorms may occur at isolated places, especially in the Kashmir Valley and other high-altitude regions. A new Western Disturbance is forecasted for April 7–8, potentially intensifying the weather.

Jharkhand Rain Alert: Heavy Rain, Thunder, and Hail

Jharkhand is under a severe weather alert as thunderstorms with heavy rain and strong winds are predicted across 14 districts starting April 4. Hailstorms may affect some areas on April 5. Districts likely to face intense rainfall and storms include Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Khunti, Giridih, Dhanbad, Bokaro, and Gumla. Residents are advised to stay vigilant and take precautions.

The monsoon alert 2026 highlights a period of unstable weather across India, with heavy rainfall, hailstorms, and strong winds affecting multiple states. From Delhi to Jharkhand and Rajasthan to the Himalayan regions, citizens should remain cautious, monitor weather updates, and follow safety advisories issued by the IMD.
