The fair aims to promote indigenous products, provide local artisans and entrepreneurs with a broader market, and strengthen the spirit of self-sufficiency in society. Organizers have stated that the event seeks to connect indigenous products with the general public while offering artisans, weavers, craftsmen, and micro, small, and medium enterprises a platform to showcase and sell their goods. Additionally, the fair will encourage youth, women, and emerging entrepreneurs to embrace entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
It will also highlight the quality, diversity, and utility of Indian products to consumers. Satish Vishwakarma, the coordinator of the fair, emphasized that this event is not just a marketplace but a grand campaign to realize the commitment to "Local for Vocal" and a Self-Reliant India. Participation from citizens, producers, and consumers from Bhopal and surrounding areas is expected to boost indigenous products and provide new directions for local entrepreneurship.
The fair will not be limited to shopping and trade; it will also celebrate Indian art, culture, and traditions. Daily cultural performances will be a highlight, including programs for schoolchildren and competitions in drama and dance aimed at engaging youth with the concept of indigenous products. Through these activities, the fair hopes to foster interest in Indian products among the younger generation and spread the message of self-reliance.
