Jharkhand Cancels 22 Recruitment Exams Amid Protests, CID Probe Into Paper Leak Racket

In an extraordinary administrative measure following weeks of intense student demonstrations over alleged paper leaks and systemic corruption, the Jharkhand government has officially scrapped 22 competitive recruitment examinations. The decision, notified late Tuesday night by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Rajbhasha following a special cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, invalidates tests conducted by both the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).
