JPSC 'irregularities': Supreme Court issues notice to Centre, state after CBI probe plea
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court of Monday issued a notice to Centre and the state government over a plea seeking independent, time-bound CBI probe into alleged malpractices in the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant and comprising Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana sought responses from the respondents. Senior advocate Manan Kumar Mishra, appearing for petitioner Harisharan Devgan , said the plea sought either a CBI inquiry or an investigation by a former Supreme Court judge.
