Mecca defence pact: For Modi govt, Op Sindoor 2.0 is impossible
Spin doctors in the Modi establishment are trying hard to play down the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement between Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan, signed in Makkah in Saudi Arabia on August 7. The pact builds on the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement signed between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan on September 17, 2025, expanding it to include Turkiye.
Far from acknowledging the issue on hand, the Narendra Modi government just want to look the other way. Claiming such defence pacts do not mean much and describing it as inconsequential and premature, these spin doctors are now in denial mode. On the other hand, implications for India are unmissable.
The writing on the wall is clear: Operation Sindoor 2.0 is now impossible.
One obvious fact, sought to be conveniently overlooked by the Modi establishment, is that the “ghar mein ghus ke maarenge
