National Weather Forecast: Heavy rain warning in 18 states of the country, alert also for these districts of Rajasthan

Rain continues in many states across the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms for today in 18 states, including Rajasthan. During this period, strong winds with speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour are possible. The department has issued a special warning for the states of eastern India.

In view of the danger of landslides in the hilly states, people have been advised to remain alert. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain and storm in Rajasthan's capital Jaipur as well as Udaipur, Kota, Alwar, Churu, Nagaur, Bundi, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, Bikaner and Ajmer. During this period, there is a possibility of strong storm with a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. Today the maximum temperature in Jaipur can be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature can be 27 degrees Celsius.

Monsoon activity in Rajasthan appears to be taking a new turn today. According to the Meteorological Department, weather patterns are changing in the eastern and western regions of the state. During the past 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature in western Rajasthan, Sri Ganganagar, reached 39.8 degrees Celsius.

Advice to be cautious in Alwar and Karauli districts

The Meteorological Department has advised to be cautious in Alwar and Karauli districts. A warning of continuous thunder and lightning has been issued in Alwar from today till 22nd August. There is also an alert of lightning with strong winds in Karauli today and tomorrow. On the other hand, heavy rain may occur in Karauli and Dholpur areas on 21st and 22nd August. Life is likely to be affected due to heavy rain in these areas.
