Pejawar Sri Chaturmasya: Home Minister Amit Shah visits Pejawar Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha Swamiji

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Pejawar Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha Sripada, who is observing his 39th Chaturmasya Vrata at Vedavyasa Gurukula, a branch of the Pejawar Math located in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

Amit Shah arrived at around 4.30 pm on September 21 and was welcomed by Dr Varakhedi Srinivasa Acharya, Dr Vithobacharya and Vasudeva Bhat Perampalli with a Poorna Kumbha ceremony, accompanied by Vedic chants by the students of the Gurukula.

He visited Sri Krishnadham, had darshan of Lord Krishna, lit the Panchadeepa and offered prayers. He also had darshan of the presiding deity of the Pejawar institution and visited the Sri Vishwesha Teertha Memorial Meditation Hall, where he had darshan of the Padukas.

Later, he met Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha Sripada, offered fruits and flowers and felicitated him. The two held a private discussion for some time.

The seer blessed Amit Shah with a shawl, traditional turban, garland, a memento and Phala Mantrakshate.

MPs Bansuri Swaraj and Ram Veer Singh Bidhuri, MLAs Anil Sharma and Kailash Gehlot, DDA member Rajiv Babbar, Rakesh Gaur, scholar N. Vithal Bhat, and the seer's personal assistants Krishnamurthy Bhat and Ashwin Kumar were among those present.
