Writer-Lyricist Prasoon Joshi Appointed As chairman Of Prasar Bharati
Noted lyricist, writer and communication expert Prasar Bharati has appointed Prasoon Joshi as its new Chairman. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the decision on Saturday, marking a significant leadership change for India’s public service broadcaster.

Before this appointment, Joshi served as the Chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) since 2017. During his tenure, he played a key role in film certification and industry coordination.
He has also held senior leadership positions in advertising, including CEO of McCann World Group India and Chairman of McCann World Group Asia Pacific. Additionally, he is associated with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts as a trustee.
