Rewari Police Bust Alleged Sex Racket, Seven Women and Four Men Arrested

Rewari, September 22 (Daily Kiran) : Authorities in Rewari, Haryana, have successfully dismantled an alleged sex racket operating from two local hotels. On September 22, police conducted simultaneous raids that resulted in the arrest of seven women and four men. The hotel operators are also being questioned in connection with the investigation. This operation was ordered by Superintendent of Police Hemendra Meena.

Police teams coordinated their efforts across different parts of the city, following prior intelligence that prompted the deployment of undercover customers to verify the racket's activities. The first raid took place at a hotel near the CSD Canteen, falling under the jurisdiction of the Rampura police station. A team led by Assistant Superintendent of Police Deepika Agarwal discovered four women and two men in suspicious circumstances and took them into custody.

The second raid occurred at a hotel near Bithwana Chowk on Bawal Road, where a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Balhara apprehended three women and two men. Initial investigations indicate that transactions were reportedly taking place at rates between ₹1,500 and ₹2,000. The police are interrogating the hotel operators to determine their alleged involvement and to ascertain whether the premises were being used to facilitate illegal activities.

Officials stated that these coordinated raids were part of a planned operation based on information regarding suspected immoral activities in the city’s hotels. DSP Sanjeev Balhara emphasized that the police will not tolerate such activities in the district and will take strict action against those involved. The police are currently questioning the detained individuals, and further legal action will be based on the investigation's findings. Sources indicate that several other hotels in Rewari are also under police scrutiny, and additional checks may be conducted as part of this ongoing operation.

Investigators will verify information related to suspicious illegal activities at these establishments. The aim is to uncover the entire network, identify other individuals potentially involved, and clarify the roles of the hotel operators.
