'They can have their fantasies': Congress on TVK projecting TN CM Vijay as next PM

NEW DELHI: Congress MP Karti Chidambaram on Monday played down the buzz around TVK supporters projecting Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay for a larger role in national politics, saying that becoming Prime Minister requires the backing of at least 272 MPs.


Chidambaram was responding to Vijay’s participation in the 31st Meeting of the Southern Zonal Council , chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
