Tragedy: Husband dies in horrific accident, wife suffers over 18 fractures and falls into coma!
Greater Noida: A lawyer was killed and his wife was critically injured after a speeding Thar SUV crashed into their scooter in the Itera area of Greater Noida West.
The deceased has been identified as Neeraj, 40, a resident of Chipiyana and an advocate at the Supreme Court. His wife, Nishi, who is a schoolteacher, sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Neeraj was riding the scooter and taking his wife home from school when the Thar, which was allegedly travelling at high speed from the opposite direction, crashed directly into their scooter. The impact threw the couple onto the road.
Local residents immediately rushed the couple to a nearby hospital. After examining Neeraj, doctors declared him dead.
Wife in coma:Nishi suffered more than 18 fractures in the accident and fell into a coma due to the severity of her injuries. Hospital sources said her condition remains extremely critical and that she is currently fighting for her life.
The Thar driver reportedly abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled shortly after the accident. Police have seized the vehicle and are examining CCTV footage to trace the driver.
A case has been registered at the Bisrakh police station in connection with the incident, and an investigation is underway.
