Train Cancellation – Several Trains Cancelled and Diverted From August 31
Passengers travelling on the Gorakhpur Cantt-Paniyahwa section are set to face changes in train operations as track maintenance work continues between Gorakhpur Cantt and Unola. The work falls under the Varanasi division and has affected both passenger and long-distance train services.
Several passenger trains will remain cancelled for specified dates, while a number of express services will operate through modified routes. Travellers using this corridor should therefore check their train's latest running status before leaving for the station.
The trains operating on modified routes include the 15565 Lalitgram-New Delhi Vaishali Express, 14617 Purnea Court-Amritsar Jansewa Express and 15707 Katihar-Amritsar Express.
The list also includes the 14674 Jaynagar-Amritsar Shaheed Express, 14673 Jaynagar-Amritsar Shaheed Express and 12565 Darbhanga-New Delhi Bihar Sampark Kranti Express.
Other affected services are the 15212 Amritsar-Darbhanga Jananayak Express, 19725 Khatipura-Darbhanga Amrut Bharat Express, 02563 Barauni-New Delhi Clone Special, 13019 Kathgodam-Howrah Bagh Express, 02569 Darbhanga-New Delhi Clone Special and 15904 Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express.
Passengers booked on these trains should not assume that the usual route and timings will remain unchanged. Route alterations can affect journey times and intermediate station arrangements, making it important to verify the latest railway train update before travelling.
The return service, train number 55095 from Narkatiaganj to Gorakhpur Cantt, will also be cancelled from August 31 to September 3. Another service, train number 55097 from Narkatiaganj to Gorakhpur Cantt, will not operate from September 1 to September 4.

The 40-day project will result in changes to the operation of several trains passing through Kanpur Central. Four trains will be cancelled during the affected period, while 17 services will be diverted.
The four cancelled services include train number 05073 from KSR Bengaluru to Lalkuan, which will not operate from November 24 to December 29. Its return service, 05074 Lalkuan-KSR Bengaluru, will be cancelled from November 21 to December 26.
Train number 07075 Hyderabad-Gorakhpur will remain cancelled from November 20 to December 25, while train number 07076 Gorakhpur-Hyderabad will not operate from November 22 to December 27.

Train number 55098, operating between Gorakhpur Cantt and Narkatiaganj, will remain cancelled from August 31 to September 3.The return service, train number 55095 from Narkatiaganj to Gorakhpur Cantt, will also be cancelled from August 31 to September 3. Another service, train number 55097 from Narkatiaganj to Gorakhpur Cantt, will not operate from September 1 to September 4.

More train changes planned at Jhansi
Separate track-related work will also affect train operations around Veerangna Laxmibai station in Jhansi. Construction of a ballast-free track on platform number one is scheduled from November 20 to December 29.The 40-day project will result in changes to the operation of several trains passing through Kanpur Central. Four trains will be cancelled during the affected period, while 17 services will be diverted.
