New Delhi, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : On September 5, leaders from across India paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former President and renowned educator, on his birth anniversary, which is also celebrated as Teacher's Day. Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed heartfelt wishes to teachers, acknowledging their pivotal role in guiding generations of students toward knowledge and progress.

In a post on X, Shah stated, “On Teacher's Day, I extend my warm wishes to all teachers who have paved the way for India's continuous advancement. I also pay my respects to the philosopher and politician Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birthday. His invaluable legacy serves as an eternal beacon of inspiration for building a knowledge-rich India.” Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also conveyed his greetings to the teaching community, emphasizing their essential role in nation-building.
He noted that Teacher's Day is celebrated in honor of Dr. Radhakrishnan and offered his tribute to the late leader. Union Minister JP Nadda remarked, “On the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, I bow deeply to this great educator and Bharat Ratna awardee. Teachers play a crucial role in a nation's prosperity and the creation of an aware society. They not only impart knowledge but also shape students' personalities, values, and futures. I wish all educators a Happy Teacher's Day.” Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and current Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan shared on social media, “On the birth anniversary of Dr.
Radhakrishnan, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all educators and the citizens of our country. There is no greater deity than a teacher, who breathes life into raw clay, molding it into something beautiful.” Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid homage to Dr. Radhakrishnan, stating that his life is a source of inspiration dedicated to the high ideals of education and human values. He expressed deep respect for all educators who enrich future generations with knowledge and values.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also took to social media to honor teachers, acknowledging their role in guiding the new generation with values and life principles. He emphasized that teachers are not just providers of knowledge but also guides who help students recognize their potential and become responsible citizens. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu paid tribute to Dr. Radhakrishnan, highlighting the significant role of teachers in imparting knowledge and values.
He also noted the state's achievement in improving educational quality, rising from 21st to 5th place, attributing this success to the dedication of educators. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary expressed his respect for Dr. Radhakrishnan and conveyed best wishes to all teachers, urging everyone to honor those who shape lives with knowledge and direction.
