Bigg Boss 20: Sofia Hayat calls Salman Khan 'hypocritical' after he slams body-shaming comments and trolls; says, 'He criticised my body'
The latest episode of Bigg Boss 20 saw Salman Khan speak against body-shaming and age-shaming on social media. During the episode, the actor also addressed the trolling he faces over his age and appearance. Later, former Bigg Boss 7 contestant Sofia Hayat reacted to Salman’s shirtless moment and recalled her own experience with him on the show.
Talking to her X handle, Sofia wrote, “SALMAN is an hypocritical idiot. When I was in Bigg Boss he criticised my body and face..and told Gauhar (Khan) her body was good. Argh.”
While speaking about body-shaming, Salman said in the latest episode of Bigg Boss 20, “Why do you troll somebody who gets pregnant? Pregnant hone ke baad everyone puts on weight…Pregnant thi toh weight gain kar liya, wapas movies mein aayegi toh fit ho jayegi. She wanted to spend time with her family.”
The actor also addressed comments about his age, saying, “Of course, I’m 60 years old, yaar. You cannot be Maine Pyar Kiya all the time…this age has become (a topic) suddenly (log kehte hai) woh budha hogya hai…what do you want to troll….mujhe pata hai mujhe kaun kaun troll karta hai…hum react nahin krte …humare fans club itne sare hai…humko kya farak padta hai…bolne do inko…”
The host then added, “Pehle apne aap ko dekho, apne jism ko dekho uske baad karna yeh sab…apne maa baap ko dekho…uske baad troll karna…mazak udhana Sohail ke upar, Varun (Dhawan) ke upar it’s not done. Jitna trolling karna hai kar lo, phate hue joote bhi pehnta hu….”
Talking about the paparazzi taking pictures and videos of actors from inappropriate angles,he said “Paparazzi hip shots lete hain, taangon ke shots lete hain, aur agar peeche se shot mil jaaye toh woh bhi lete hain. None of these heroines, none of the girls like it. I am saying all this to girls agar aisa ho toh ghoom ke ek chamat maaro aur bolo, ‘Apni maa-behen ka shot le lo.’ Disgusting people! What is this mentality?”
After the episode, Sofia Hayat, a former Bigg Boss 7 contestant, re-shared the video of Salman taking off his shirt. Reacting to his remarks and the moment, she accused the actor of being hypocritical and recalled comments she says he made about her during her stint on the show.
