Bigg Boss Malayalam 8: Tashi opens up about family struggles, says, 'I want to remain happily poor'
A heartfelt family moment unfolded in the Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 house as Tashi opened up about his childhood, his parents ' sacrifices and his relationship with his family. Speaking about his father, mother, sister and younger brother, the contestant became emotional and expressed regret over not having done enough for them. He also promised to take better care of his family after leaving the show.
Speaking about his family, Tashi said, “My father's name is Raj and my mother's name is Meera. My mother came from Mysuru. I have an elder sister named Sangeetha and a younger brother. He came into our family after losing his mother and his father leaving him. He used to live in the neighbourhood, and eventually he started staying with us.”
Talking about his younger brother's contribution to the family, he said, “When I speak about him, he has done more for my family than I have. I haven't even given my first salary to my family. Even if I wasn't a perfect son, he was a perfect son to my father and mother.”
Recalling his relationship with his father, Tashi said, “Until I was five years old, my father was very close to me. He was like a friend. But as I grew older, he stopped talking to me. I never understood why. Whenever I returned from school competitions after winning prizes, he wouldn't even ask me how the programme was. I don't know why he stopped talking to me. Perhaps I couldn't prove myself in front of him.”
Expressing his feelings towards his parents, he added, “I haven't been able to show my father how much I love him. I have so much love and affection for him. My father has supported my mother in every way. My mother has done so much for me, but I haven't done enough for her. I will do that from now on. I will do it for my mother, my sister and my younger brother.”
Further he said, “When I get out of here, I want to interact more with my father. I had a wonderful childhood, even though I grew up facing many struggles. I don't want to become rich. I want to remain happily poor. My family is my everything. I love you all. Dad, Mom, sister and brother, I love you.”
