Bigg Boss Malayalam 8's Santhosh reveals the story behind his nickname 'Tashi'
Following a stern warning from host Mohanlal in the latest episode, Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 contestant Santhosh , also known as Tashi , will now be addressed by his original name. The superstar instructed the housemates to call him Santhosh instead of Tashi following his aggressive gameplay. Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Santhosh revealed how his name evolved from Santhosh to Tashi in an interview he gave during his stint on the pre-show Agnipareeksha.
In the video, Santhosh says that he did not feel his name matched his vibe and attitude. He also recalled how people used to mock him because of his name.
Santhosh revealed that, years ago, his friends started calling him Tosh, which eventually evolved into Tashi, the name he has used for the past two years. He firmly stated that Tashi would be his final name when the host questioned whether it would evolve further. During the interview, he also shared his ambition to participate in other popular reality shows after winning Bigg Boss Malayalam 8.
The nickname has now become a talking point outside the Bigg Boss house. In the latest weekend episode, Mohanlal confronted Santhosh over his aggressive behaviour and comments about viewers. The host issued a stern warning, instructing the housemates to stop calling him Tashi and address him by his original name instead.
Mohanlal had also questioned his behaviour and warned him about his conduct around two weeks earlier.
With Mohanlal now insisting that the housemates use his original name, the contestant’s journey from Santhosh to Tosh and eventually Tashi has attracted renewed attention among viewers.
