Cardi B and Offset reunite for their kids' birthday party amid their bitter split

Cardi Band her former husband Offset appear to have put their differences aside to celebrate the birthdays of their children together. The former couple shared glimpses of a lavish joint birthday celebration for their son Wave and daughter Blossom on social media. Wave turned 5 on September 4, while Blossom is set to turn 2 on September 7.

The birthday party appeared to combine two different themes for the children. While Blossom’s celebration had a Disney theme, Wave’s side of the party appeared to be inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog. The event included colourful balloon decorations, a ball pit, carnival games, snacks, large food displays and an open bar for the adults.

Cardi B also gave fans a look at her own outfit for the celebration. The rapper dressed up as Minnie Mouse, wearing a red polka dot dress with yellow heels and sparkling Disney mouse ears. She appeared to be fully involved in making the special day memorable for her children.

The rapper also showed off one of the food highlights at the party, a Chipotle setup. Cardi joked about an earlier comment she had made about having a Chipotle stand at her wedding if she ever got married again. She told her followers, “Remember when I said if I get married, I’m gonna put a Chipotle stand? Well I ain’t getting married no time soon, but I got a whole bunch of kids and of course I got a Chipotle stand.”

Another sweet moment from the party featured Cardi’s eldest daughter Kulture, who is 8. Kulture was seen walking and posing like a model while dancing to Katseye’s song “Gnarly.”

Offset also shared a glimpse of the celebration. In his video, their son Wave could be seen happily dancing while holding cotton candy.

Although both Cardi and Offset attended the celebration, neither of them shared photos or videos showing them together.

The former couple married in September 2017 and had a relationship that went through several ups and downs. Cardi filed for divorce for the second time in 2024 following reports of problems in their marriage.

Their relationship later became publicly tense, with Cardi accusing Offset of being an absent father in 2025. Offset, however, said he wanted peace for their family and stressed that they had children to take care of.

Cardi later said she felt like a “new person” after the split. Despite their difficult past, their children’s birthday celebration shows that both parents can still come together for important family moments.
