  • ½ tsp pink salt
  • ¼ tsp chaat masala
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ cup plain curd
  • ½ cup chilled water and ice cubes

How To Make Chilled Cucumber Mint Chaas

  1. Blend the Base: Combine diced cucumber, mint leaves, green chilli, roasted cumin, pink salt, chaat masala, pepper powder, and a quarter cup of water in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Prepare the Curd: Whisk the curd in an earthen pot or a bowl until it has a smooth, flowy consistency.
  3. Mix & Chill: Add the blended cucumber mixture to the curd. Pour in chilled water and ice cubes to make the drink refreshing and cool.
  4. Optional Tempering (Tadka): For extra flavour, prepare a simple tempering with curry leaves and pour it over the chaas. You can also add a smoky aroma using a hot charcoal piece with a little ghee, covering the vessel for a few minutes.
  5. Serve: Stir well and enjoy immediately for the ultimate cooling experience.
