Telugu actor Sree Vishnu is gearing up for the release of his upcoming entertainer ‘ Comrade Kalyan ’, directed by Janakiram Marella, who is making his directorial debut with the film. The makers have now unveiled the teaser, offering a glimpse into the story set against the backdrop of a village along the Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border in the early 1990s.

Sree Vishnu’s character finds his life taking an unexpected turn after a girl from Odisha enters his life. He falls in love with her, but circumstances soon take a dramatic turn, eventually drawing him towards Naxalism. While the teaser features several elements connected to Naxalism, it largely focuses on the lighter and more entertaining aspects of the story, hinting at a mix of humour, romance and drama.
Cast of ‘Comrade Kalyan’The film features a strong ensemble cast, with Brahmaji, Srikanth Iyengar, Vennela Kishore, Satya and Sudharshan expected to add to the comic elements. Sree Vishnu also praised writers Bhanu Bhogavarapu and Nandu Savarigana, who have penned the story and screenplay. The actor further thanked Kona Venkat for bringing the story to him. ‘Comrade Kalyan’ is slated to hit theatres on October 9.
