As mentioned by IANS, she spoke at the pre-release event of Toxic in Chennai, where she recalled the advice her father had given her.

"I'm just sort of jogging my memory back to cinema. I started when I was four-and-a-half years old in cinema. From where I started and where I'm standing right now, I was just going through my journey." She then disclosed, "I was a very bad student. I used to constantly fail in school. I was never picked for anything, for basketball or whatever. I think I was a complete failure. But there's one thing which my father told me, which kind of stayed with me."
