For ARMY, that is not an ordinary colour choice.
Purple has become deeply connected with BTS and its fandom through the meaning of “Borahae,” or “I purple you.” So when Toronto councillor Lily Cheng said HYBE asked the city not to use purple because the group was “evolving the brand,” fans immediately began asking a much bigger question.
