Jailer 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: Rajinikanth's Film Nears ₹200 Crore India Net, Worldwide Total Crosses ₹424 Crore

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 continued its strong box office performance on Sunday, October 18, recording a significant increase in collections after a slower Friday. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the action entertainer wrapped up its opening weekend close to the ₹200 crore India net milestone.

According to Sacnilk, the film earned ₹55.85 crore net in India on Day 4, an increase of 18.2% compared with Saturday’s collection of ₹47.25 crore. Its total domestic net collection over the first four days reached ₹199.90 crore.

Sunday became Jailer 2

’s second-highest-grossing day at the Indian box office, behind its opening day. The film has also maintained a strong presence in overseas markets.

Its India gross collection stood at ₹234.25 crore, while overseas earnings reached ₹190 crore. This took the film’s worldwide gross total to ₹424.25 crore within four days of release.

The film opened in India on Thursday, October 15, with a net collection of ₹59.70 crore. Its opening-day occupancy was reported at 55.4% across 16,599 shows.

recorded overall theatre occupancy of approximately 62% across 15,473 shows. The film attracted 36,87,269 visits that day, taking its cumulative footfalls over four days to 1,30,21,526.

Tamil Version Leads Jailer 2’s Sunday Earnings

The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to the film’s Day 4 domestic collection. It earned ₹39.95 crore net from 8,173 shows, significantly ahead of the other language versions.

The Telugu version collected ₹9.50 crore across 2,234 shows, while the Hindi version contributed ₹5.75 crore from 4,902 shows. The Kannada version added ₹65 lakh through 164 shows.

Tamil 2D screenings recorded particularly strong occupancy as the day progressed. Morning shows registered 67.08% occupancy, rising to 87.08% in the afternoon and 88.77% in the evening. Night shows maintained a strong occupancy level of 87.38%.

The Telugu version also attracted audiences during afternoon and evening screenings. The Hindi version, meanwhile, recorded comparatively lower occupancy.

Jailer 2 Cast and Story Background

is the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer. Rajinikanth returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, the central character from the original film.

The sequel features S.J. Suryah as Bodhi Kalpak, Mithun Chakraborty as Chakri and Suraj Venjaramoodu as Dileep. Ramya Krishnan, Vidya Balan and Yogi Babu are also part of the cast.

Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Hrithik Roshan and Jackie Shroff appear in special roles.
