Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's Reunion at IIFA Press Event Grabs Attention
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor reunited at the IIFA press conference in Mumbai on Thursday, sharing a friendly hug that quickly caught fans’ attention. The former couple, who starred together in Jab We Met, exchanged a warm greeting before going their separate ways.
A video from the event shows Kareena noticing Shahid during the press conference and approaching him for a hug and an air kiss.
The recent interaction recalls a similar moment at last year’s IIFA press conference, when Kareena was also seen embracing Shahid. On that occasion, the actors were spotted chatting on stage alongside other celebrities, including Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon and Karan Johar.
Their friendly exchanges have continued to draw interest from fans, particularly because of their past relationship and their memorable on-screen pairing.
Kareena and Shahid were among Bollywood’s widely discussed couples during the 2000s. The two actors shared the screen in several films, including Fida, Chup Chup Ke and Jab We Met.
However, the couple reportedly separated shortly before the filming of Jab We Met, the romantic drama that remains one of their best-known collaborations.
Both actors have since moved forward in their personal lives.
The 27th edition of the IIFA Weekend and Awards is scheduled to take place at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on January 22 and 23, 2027.
Varun Dhawan and Ananya Panday are set to host the ceremony alongside Karan Johar and Manish Paul. The event is also expected to feature performances by several prominent Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Janhvi Kapoor.
With the upcoming awards ceremony bringing together leading names from the film industry, Kareena and Shahid’s friendly reunion has added another talking point ahead of IIFA 2027.
