Kate Middleton's go-to handbag now comes in Wuthering Heights-inspired designs
Mark your calendars and gather your friends, because Wuthering Heights is set to land in cinemas any day now. To coincide with the 13 February release of the long-awaited romantic film, Aspinal of London has just launched a brand new Wuthering Heights edit, and it includes an updated version of the Midi Mayfair bag – a go-to favourite of the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.
Princess Kate has been spotted carrying the patent croc version of the bag in several colours for many years now, and the Wuthering Heights edit includes 10 iterations of the handbag in its roster. From block colours like white, black and red to more elaborate hand-embroidered velvet versions, this is the perfect accessory for romantics.

The Wuthering Heights-inspired colourways of the Midi Mayfair bag include Ivory, Black, Deep Shine Cherry Ombre and Evergreen versions of the patent croc, as well as Deep Shine Cherry Red in the smaller croc-print. You can also pick up the “Smooth Merlot” version of the Midi Mayfair 2, which swaps the croc print for a smooth leather with a subtle shine, with each of these bags costing £695.
For something a little more elaborate, the hand-embroidered bags are beautifully designed to reflect the poetry and romanticism of the film. The Beaded Birds Hand Embroidery on Velvet bag comes in all-black velvet with subtle bird embroidery stitched on in black thread for a subtle contrast.
Alternatively, the pink and green English Garden Bird Hand Embroidery are light and colourful, coming in jewel toned velvet backdrops with multicoloured birds and floral designs hand stitched on the front. Gold top handles and chain strap details give it some added glamour and whimsy.
It’s not just the handbags which feature in the new Wuthering Heights edit, though. The centrepiece of the Aspinal X Wuthering Heights collection is the ‘Be With Me Always’ A5 Journal (£95), a “romantic tribute to one of the most enduring love stories”.
The journal is handmade from cherry red saffiano leather that’s lined with suede, and features the quote from the book embossed in gold on the front. You can even get your own initials embossed on the front as part of a complimentary service. The journal is also so once you’ve filled it up, you can replace it with another, and is available with feint-lined or plain pages.
Aspinal isn’t the only one to bring out a Wuthering Heights-inspired collection, however. Whilst most are currently exclusively available in America (we’re hoping for some more in the UK ASAP!), Lounge has launched a lingerie collection inspired by the film.
