Lidl to make 'festive first' offer for UK shoppers from November 27

Lidl customers are set for a festive surprise this Christmas - and it's arriving sooner than expected. To mark the launch of its 1,000th UK store, the supermarket is introducing "the world's only Lidl Gingerbread Store" as a "festive first" - and there's vouchers to be won too.

The DIY kit allows customers to construct it at home, and once assembled, some may recognise the design. Modelled on the new East Grinstead branch in Sussex, each gingerbread kit comes with all the accessories needed to craft a Lidl creation. Options include edible Lidl billboards, candy cane bollards, gingerbread panels and smooth icing - plus all the chocolate decorations.

There's more good news too. Lidl has revealed that 10 fortunate customers will find £100 Lidl Plus vouchers tucked inside their kits - the cherry on top of a festive delight.

The limited-edition Gingerbread Store will be available to order from 10am on Thursday, November 27 via www.lidlgingerbreadstore.co.uk. But you had better hurry as the retailer is only making 1,000 kits.

Carefully designed and hand-crafted by Sussex-based gingerbread aficionado, Fay Miller, alongside the miniature kits available for shoppers, a larger gingerbread replica of the building has also been constructed to celebrate the store's opening. The model will be showcased in the East Grinstead store throughout the festive season, meaning lucky shoppers can marvel at every deliciously intricate detail up close - and maybe get some inspiration for their mini version.
