New Delhi, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : The Madras High Court has intervened to stop the unauthorized release of Rajinikanth's upcoming film, 'Jailer 2'. The film is scheduled to debut on October 15. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, 'Jailer 2' features a star-studded cast including Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, and S.J. Surya. The production company filed a petition with the Madras High Court, seeking to prevent the film's illegal distribution on websites and digital platforms.

They argued that they suffer significant financial losses when the film is uploaded illegally within just 30 minutes of its release. After hearing the case, Justice P.B. Balaji issued an order to halt the film's illegal release. There was earlier speculation that the film would not be released in Hindi. However, on October 12, the producers clarified these rumors. A statement from the film's publicist denied claims that 'Jailer 2' would not be available in Hindi, asserting that the Hindi version will be released in theaters alongside other language versions on October 15.
The producers also confirmed that the film will be distributed in North India by Pen Marudhar Entertainment. They emphasized that there are no changes to the scheduled Hindi theatrical release and urged media outlets to refrain from spreading unverified information. They expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the media. 'Jailer 2' is a sequel to the blockbuster film 'Jailer', released in 2023. In this new installment, Rajinikanth reprises his role as retired jailer Tiger Muthuveil Pandian, who finds himself embroiled in a dangerous new conflict involving threats.
