That decline came after a new round of talks amidst US-Iran tensions, fueled by hopes that shipping through the Strait of Hormuz would eventually resume.

Petrol and diesel prices in India have remained unchanged since May 25. At that time, state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) had hiked petrol prices by ₹2.61 per liter and diesel prices by ₹2.71 per liter.

In Delhi, petrol remains above the ₹100 mark at ₹102.12 per liter, while diesel is selling at ₹95.20 per liter. In Mumbai, petrol prices also remain above the ₹110 mark; petrol is selling at ₹111.21 per liter and diesel at ₹99.82 per liter, which is slightly higher than in Delhi.

In other major cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, petrol prices remain above ₹110 per liter. Diesel prices in these cities are below ₹100, except in Hyderabad, where the price is ₹103.73 per liter.
