Talking about the track, Kartik revealed that he and composer Arjun Iyer wanted to create a song that truly embodied the fearless spirit of the two central characters. He shared that the idea took shape when Arjun sent him an early scratch track titled Do Sherniyaa, whose energy instantly resonated with him. The concept was later brought alive lyrically by Niket Pandey, eventually evolving into Sherni.
Kartik further added that the team was looking for a voice that could bring fierceness, freedom, and emotional intensity to the song, and Ravindra Upadhyay turned out to be the perfect choice. He also expressed admiration for the singer’s voice ever since hearing Jiya Laage Na.
Apart from Patralekhaa and Maanvi Gagroo, the film also features Arif Zakaria, Nishank Verma, and Sveta Salve in pivotal roles.
