However, her understanding of PCOS led her to worry about whether she would be able to have a child naturally.

During a recent appearance on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, the 40-year-old actress recalled learning about the possible connection between PCOS and pregnancy when she was just 14. She said the information stayed with her for years and made her believe that becoming a mother could be difficult.

Her outlook changed after she consulted gynaecologist Dr.

Dhrupti Dedhia. According to Shruti, the doctor helped her look at motherhood differently and reassured her that pregnancy remained a possibility whenever she decided she was ready.

‘I Really Want to Be a Mother’

Speaking about her experience, Shruti recalled that she had assumed from a young age that having a child would be difficult. However, her conversation with Dr. Dedhia helped change that perspective.

She said the doctor encouraged her to keep the possibility of motherhood open and told her that when she was ready, becoming a mother could still be possible.

The actress now says she wants to approach motherhood with a more positive outlook rather than allowing her earlier concerns about PCOS to determine her future.

Shruti Haasan Is Open to Adoption

Shruti also made it clear that she is considering more than one path to motherhood. She said she would like to try for a natural birth when the time is right, but she is equally open to adoption.

“I really want to be a mother. I would love to try for a natural birth.

But I will also consider adoption,” Shruti said.

Her comments reflect how her views on motherhood have evolved over the years, particularly after gaining a better understanding of her health and receiving reassurance from her doctor.
