Veronica Talreja on her next move: I want to do something powerful and promising
Actress Veronica Talreja , who became a household name after playing the character of Mili - Aryan's ex-girlfriend and friend - in television's popular show Kumkum Bhagya , is all set to feature in a new music video .
The actress, who has also been a part of shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein , Chahenge Tumhe Itna, Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii, Naamkarann, Deewani, Shiv Shakti - Tap Tyaag Tandav and Dil Sambhal Ja Zara among others, will now be seen alongside Navika Kotia and Suchit Vikram Singh in the upcoming soulful track ' Ik Tera ' sung by Asees Kaur.
Talking about the song, Veronica shared, "I am super excited to be a part of this music video. For me, music videos are always special because you get to express so much in just a few minutes - through emotions, expressions and dance. When I first listen to the song, I instantly fell in love with it and became sure that I had to be a part of it. The concept is very beautiful and relatable, and I got to explore a completely different side of myself as a performer. The entire team has been amazing and shooting for it was pure joy. I can't wait for the audience to watch it and shower their love."
Opening up on how music videos help actors, she said, "I feel doing a music video really helps an actor in many ways. Firstly, it gives you a much wider reach - a music video connects you with a younger audience on YouTube and Instagram much faster than a show. In just three to four minutes, you get to show your versatility, your emotions, romance and expressions without dialogues, which really tests your screen presence. If the song clicks, it trends on reels and boosts your social media growth immensely. It also adds to your brand value and portfolio. And of course, you get to work with amazing singers, labels and directors, which opens up a lot of new doors. For me, a music video is not just a project, it's a great promotional tool and a beautiful creative break."
Veronica further added that she is now looking for more powerful roles on television and OTT, "As an actor, I am always looking for growth and I am currently looking for new roles on TV and OTT. For me, it's not just about being on screen, I want to do something powerful and promising that stays with the audience. I want to portray a character that has depth, strength and a story to tell — something that challenges me as a performer and allows me to explore different shades. Whether it's television or a web series, the medium doesn't matter, the character does. I am waiting for that one role that truly defines me and brings out the best in me as an actor."
