What Happens to Your Skin When You Stop Using Every Product
There is a strange moment in modern skincare when a routine stops feeling like self-care and starts resembling a chemistry experiment. Cleanser, toner, serum, exfoliant, retinol, mask, oil, moisturiser and sunscreen can leave the bathroom shelf crowded and the skin confused. So what happens if you simply stop using everything? The answer is more complicated than the popular idea of a “skin detox”. Some people may experience relief because they have removed irritating products. Others may quickly develop dryness because they have abandoned basic protection. The real lesson is that fewer products can sometimes be useful, but zero skincare is not automatically better.
