35 All Out After 8 Ducks: Opponents Complete Chase in Just 33 Balls
The first game of the Women's Continental Cup in 2026, between Turkey and Austria, became one-sided after Austria's batting was dismantled.
Austria were bundled out for just 35 in 8.1 overs, with eight ducks, as all batters failed to reach double figures, and the extras outscored the batting line-up.
Turkey then breezed past the small total, reaching 36/2 in 5.3 overs to win by 8 wickets.
Austria Was Dismissed for 35 Runs
Turkey won the toss and elected to bowl first. A quick decision by Turkey, as Austria found it hard to battle the bowling attack from the beginning.
Top scorer for Austria, Komati Reddy, scored 8 runs from 19 balls. Sheetal Bhardwaj scored 5 from 13 balls, and Hadia Siddiqui scored 3. They managed to score only 16 runs between the three.
Most of the other runs were extras, 19 to Austria, including 14 wides. They also could not find the rope during their brief innings.
Hacer Celik was the best of the Turkish bowlers, claiming 4/6 in her two overs. Captain Kuber Canavarsi bowled well, taking 3/5; Kilic took the other wicket.
The innings for Austria finished after 49 balls, with 8 of their batsmen failing to score.
