Drew McIntyre and CM Punk's rivalry continues as McIntyre wants him to leave WWE
Drew McIntyre's latest remarks on CM Punk have made it clear that his issue with the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has extended beyond their on-screen rivalry, and he has continued to criticize Punk publicly, reigniting conversation about the tensions that two WWE stars have.

Drew McIntyre has once again taken a potshot at CM Punk during a recent appearance on Raw Talk, where McIntyre was asked whether his problems with Punk went beyond their storyline. To which the former WWE Champion said and openly admitted that he dislikes Punk and avoids him whenever possible.

While speaking with Ella Jay, McIntyre and Chase Mattson were discussing their experience working together on Agent of Shadows. Mattson was asked about his first impressions of Drew, Joe Hendry and Jacob Fatu, and said all three were welcoming on set. In the meantime, Drew took a shot at Punk, showing his dislike towards Punk.

During the interview, he stated, “That’s why we don’t send CM Punk to these things because he’s a piece of trash.” This did not end there; the former WWE Champion responded by calling Punk a bad person and comparing the way he presents himself to wrestling fans to Charles Manson.

He further added, “Just a bad, bad human being. Just a—like, he can’t go to the acting world because in wrestling he’s himself, except, you know, when he pretends he’s a good guy. He’s very Charles Manson-like qualities where he gets the fans to believe the nonsense he spouts.”

Drew McIntyre continued to state that he wants him to leave WWE forever, “But unless he’s just being his same horrible self, he can’t be in this world. So, he shouldn’t even be in the wrestling world. He’s genuinely, genuinely terrible person,” the star added.

In reality, their rivalry culminated in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood 2024, which Punk won. Although their on-screen feud has evolved since then, McIntyre's recent comments are evident that he remains highly critical of his former opponent, and has not changed his mind yet towards Punk. With this comments, McIntyre has made his position unmistakably clear: he wants Punk out of WWE for good.
