East Bengal to start AFC Champions League two group stage campaign on September 16
Kolkata: East Bengal FC will kick-start their AFC Champions League Two group stage campaign with an away match at Jordanian champions Al Hussein SC on Sept 16.
The Indian Super League champions have been drawn in Group D of Asia's second-tier club competition, along with Iraqi powerhouse Al Shorta SC , Al Seeb Club of Oman and Al Hussein SC.
According to match schedules published by AFC on Tuesday, Antonio Lopez Habas’ team will host Al Shorta for their first home match at the Salt Lake Stadium on Oct 13.
