FC Barcelona eyes €300 million and more in annual retail revenue under record Nike partnership until 2038
FC Barcelona is currently aiming to generate more than €300 million pounds per season from its retail and licensing business as part of its expanded partnership with Nike. The ambitious target forms the club's long-term strategy to boost its commercial operation, expand its global reach, and increase its revenue from Nike's merchandise sales.
As per reports, Barcelona announced its renewed strategic partnership with Nike in November 2024, describing it as a new beginning of a relationship that began in 1998. The agreement was subsequently ratified by the club members in December 2024, and again it became effective from the 2024-25 season.

It is to be noted that this agreement is the largest sponsorship deal in its history. According to Fabrizio Romano, the president of Barcelona, he stated, “The new contract with Nike is 3x more valuable than the previous one. It’s the biggest contract in football world for technical sponsor partnership.”
FC Barcelona aims to expand retail and licensing revenue to €300 million with their partner Nike
FC Barcelona and Nike have renewed a strategic alliance to ensure the global development of the Club's Retail and Licensing business. According to earlier reports, Barcelona has set an initial target of reaching €200 million per season in retail and licensing revenue before exceeding €300 million in the medium term.
Also, under the renewed arrangement, Nike will work alongside Barça Licensing & Merchandising (BLM), the club’s subsidiary responsible for licensing and merchandising, to develop products, improve supply-chain operations and strengthen global distribution.
The agreement between FC Barcelona and Nike is structured in three main strategic areas are sponsorship rights, product licensing, and support for retail and eCommerce operations. Basically, the contract allows Barcelona to develop its own branded merchandise and pursue strategic partnerships with brands outside Nike’s competing technical-product category.
In February 2026, Barcelona reported that UEFA’s annual club report had placed its kit and merchandising revenue at a record €277 million, €46 million ahead of the second-ranked club. Barcelona credited its renewed Nike partnership and the expansion of its retail and e-commerce operations as important factors behind that growth. Even the increase in revenue was reported well above the industry average, with indicators that double or even triple typical market standards.
The €300 million target therefore represents a further step in Barcelona’s ambition to maximise the value of its global brand. However, the growth will depend on the increased sales of the official merchandise, international retail expansion and the club’s ability to convert its worldwide fan base into commercial growth.
With Nike’s long-term partnership, Barcelona will look to build on its existing merchandising business and establish retail and licensing as an increasingly significant source of recurring revenue.
