Sean Strickland reveals he could return to training after accidentSean Strickland gave fans an early look at the aftermath of the accident through a video posted on social media. The UFC champion explained that he was sitting in the passenger seat while his friend was driving side-by-side.

According to Strickland, the vehicle was travelling at around 60 miles per hour when it rolled over. He said the side-by-side rolled approximately six times.

The fighter also revealed that he was not wearing a helmet during the incident. He said he repeatedly hit his head on the ground as the vehicle rolled.

“I had my buddy driving. He rolled us going like 60. We rolled like six times. Did not have a helmet on, idiot… I think I’m gonna lay here and take a nap for a little bit”, Strickland said.

In another video, Strickland described how badly he was feeling after the crash.

“I am real f***** up, dude. We rolled like six times. That was from my head smacking the f***** ground. Oh yeah, I am f***** up, guys. I am really f***** up,” Strickland said in a video.

The incident immediately raised concerns because of the repeated blows to his head. Strickland also mentioned the possibility of a concussion. No further medical diagnosis has been publicly revealed.

However, the 35-year-old later appeared more positive in his subsequent social media updates. He said he was feeling good and even suggested that he could return to the gym and spar the following day.

That update could be significant for Strickland’s fighting plans. The UFC star has already returned his attention to training following his latest title victory.

Strickland recently defeated Khamzat Chimaev to become the UFC middleweight champion. While the promotion has not officially announced his next opponent, Nassourdine Imavov has emerged as a potential challenger.

Imavov has been on a five-fight winning streak and has already scored a notable knockout victory over Israel Adesanya. That makes him a possible major test for Strickland if the UFC decides to book the matchup.

For now, Strickland’s immediate priority appears to be recovering from the accident. His latest updates have eased some of the concern surrounding the crash, but there has been no official confirmation about the extent of his injuries or whether the incident will affect his next fight.
