The 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) returns to the Eden Gardens after almost a month, when the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) take on the Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 60 of the competition on Saturday, May 16.

GT come into the game on the back of five consecutive victories in the IPL, with their most recent triumph coming against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ahmedabad, where they bundled the 2016 champions for just 86 in the second innings.

The Titans would be eyeing to do the double over KKR when the two sides face each other on Saturday. Shubman Gill’s side secured a five-wicket win earlier in the season against the three-time champions after chasing down 181 with two balls to spare.

GT have one of the most stable playing XIs in the IPL this season and will not look to make any drastic changes so late in the season.

Here is GT’s strongest predicted XI vs KKR, Match 60, IPL 2026: Top Order: Shubman Gill (C), Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (WK)

GT will once again be relying on their opening pair of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan to provide an excellent start. The duo has scored 467 and 501 runs, respectively, with Sudharsan currently third in the race for the Orange Cap.

Jos Buttler, on the other hand, had slightly lost his way in recent matches, scoring only 124 runs from his last five innings.

Middle Order: Washington Sundar, Jason Holder, Nishant Sindhu, Rahul Tewatia

Washington Sundar has solidified his place at number four after scoring his second half-century of the season against SRH last time around. The left-handed batter, however, has struggled to find consistent partners to bat alongside him in the middle overs.

The arrival of Jason Holder has completely transformed GT’s season. Despite minimal contribution with the bat, the West Indies international has been a star with the ball, picking up 13 wickets from just six matches at an economy rate of 6.35.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Arshad Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj

GT’s bowling unit is one of the best in the IPL this season, with all taking consistent wickets. All of their bowlers are inside the top 12 highest wicket-takers in this year’s tournament.

Kagiso Rabada leads the charts with 21 wickets to his name, one fewer than the Purple Cap holder Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He is closely followed by Rashid Khan with 16, while Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj have 14 and 13 scalps, respectively.
