Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's $1 million donation to feed 2.4 million New Yorkers amid rising food insecurity
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce found an extraordinary way to celebrate a new chapter in their relationship. In July, the couple reportedly donated $26 million to charitable organisations across the United States, supporting causes ranging from hunger relief and children's healthcare to education and animal welfare. The contributions caught several nonprofit leaders off guard, with some struggling to believe the news when they first received the calls. Their generosity also highlighted how the singer and NFL star have continued to use their influence to support communities in need.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's $26 million donation brings relief to food banksFood insecurity received a major share of the couple's contributions. City Harvest in New York confirmed a $1 million donation, which CEO Jilly Stephens said would help provide food to more than 2.4 million residents during the summer.
Stephens expressed her gratitude, saying, “We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s generous $1 million donation to City Harvest. This donation is a love letter to New York, and a bold commitment to our efforts to ensure that no New Yorker goes hungry. Their support comes at a critical time, with visits to New York City soup kitchens and food pantries near record highs and expected to increase further in response to federal funding cuts.”
The Rhode Island Community Food Bank also received $1 million. CEO Melissa Cherney revealed that staff initially struggled to process the unexpected news.
“As soon as we got the call, a couple of our staff had a moment of disbelief and we were speechless,” she told PEOPLE.
The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank received another $1 million contribution, expected to fund approximately four million meals. Meanwhile, Harvesters in Kansas City said its donation could provide around two million meals.

Education also featured prominently in their charitable efforts. The Grammy Museum Foundation said the contribution would strengthen its Grammy In The Schools programme, bringing music education to thousands of young people.
Children's healthcare was another important focus. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center confirmed support for MSK Kids, which provides treatment and research for young cancer patients. Children's Mercy Hospital also celebrated a donation that will improve care and bring more joyful experiences to children receiving treatment.
Animal welfare organisations, including the ASPCA, also benefited from the couple's generosity.
