Mumbai, September 22 (Daily Kiran) : Agastya Mittal, a remarkable 12-year-old, has etched his name in history by becoming the youngest player to win the Triple Crown at the Maharashtra State Billiards and Snooker Championship. This prestigious event took place at the Khara Gymkhana in Mumbai. Competing in both junior and sub-junior categories, Agastya secured three state titles, clinching gold medals in sub-junior snooker, sub-junior billiards, and junior billiards.His achievement is particularly significant as he triumphed over older competitors in the junior billiards category while also dominating in the sub-junior events. In a statement released on Tuesday, his supporters revealed that Agastya showcased outstanding skill in the decisive final of the snooker event, winning 3-0 in a best-of-five match. In the sub-junior billiards, Agastya finished first in a four-player round-robin format. He also defeated Dev Jaisingh in the sub-junior snooker final with scores of 86-63, 70-30, and 53-33.Winning the Triple Crown marks a significant milestone in Agastya's burgeoning cue sports career, highlighting his rising prominence in both billiards and snooker.
