A tech enthusiast has spent three years writing data to microSD cards until they die, and the pile of casualties is now big enough to say something useful about which brands actually survive. Matt Cole, who posts as mikaey00, owns 351 cards covering 111 models from 52 brands. Of those, 177 are dead, 107 are still being tested, and 67 sit on a shelf waiting for a card reader to free up.
