The Walt Disney Company is extending voluntary early retirement options to senior leadership across its corporate, entertainment and sports units as the entertainment giant intensifies its broader cost-reduction campaign. The initiative, officially called the Voluntary Early Retirement Offer (VERO), was detailed in an internal communication distributed by Disney senior executive vice president and chief people officer Sonia Coleman. The program is designed to allow qualifying leaders to step down while receiving an enhanced departure plan created to honor their years of corporate service.
