Keep the Right Car Washing Supplies Ready

Use two buckets for washing and keep the third one specifically for rinsing. A separate stiff brush should also be kept for cleaning the tyres and rims. It is better not to use the same brush for other parts of the car.

Use the Right Soap and Correct Water Ratio

Car wash soaps generally come with instructions about how much product should be mixed with water.

Some products may recommend a ratio of around 20 parts water to one part soap, but the recommended mixture can vary between products.

Always check the instructions printed on the soap bottle before preparing the solution.

It may be tempting to use ordinary dishwashing soap to clean a car, but it can affect the vehicle’s finish and may remove protective wax. When there is any doubt, using a soap specifically designed for car washing is the safer option.
