Authorities are urging users not to download any digital wedding invitations or files from unknown numbers without proper verification. Recently, Himachal Pradesh has witnessed a surge in such cases. Hackers are also using these malicious files to steal critical documents such as PAN and Aadhaar card details. The cyber police strongly advise against sharing your OTP, debit card information, Aadhaar, or PAN details with anyone over the phone.
How to Report Suspicious Links
If you receive any suspicious message or link, Cyber Dost advises reporting it immediately. Visit the official website at cybercrime.gov.in, and select 'Report and Check Suspect.' Fill out the necessary details and submit the form. In case of a cyber fraud incident, contact the cyber helpline at 1930, or register your complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in.
