ET Startup Awards 2025: Nominees for Social Enterprise
We are back with the 11th edition of The Economic Times Startup Awards. As we approach the main event, here are the nominees in one of the eight categories: Social Enterprise.
With this category, we intend to recognise the startup that best embodies the ‘double bottomline’ model, one that combines profits with the public good.

What it does: This menstrual waste startup collects sanitary pads from corporate offices across the country and processes them in a way that used pads do not get dumped in landfills. They get recycled to make plastic decorative plants and paper pulp.

Based in: Hyderabad

What it does: Bintix collects dry waste from households through QR-coded bags and analyses information from the waste collected to build intelligence regarding consumption trends in certain localities and areas. The data gets sold to large FMCG firms, and the waste gets disposed of through sustainable means.

Founders: Ragavan Venkatesan
Based in: Mumbai
Key investors: Indigram Labs, IIMA Ventures and Social Alpha
What it does: DGV operates a fintech platform for dairy farmers, offering services like credit and insurance. The startup taps into milk collection data to underwrite farmers and offer loans much faster than traditional lenders.
