Fortnite enthusiasts are in for a treat with a big new update as part of the new Simpsons season.

The Fortnite update 38.10 launched after a period of server downtime on the morning of November 11. The update adds lots of new features and skins, including fan-favourite bartender Moe.

According to insiders, the new update will bring falling donuts from the sky, something hinted at in an Epic Games tweet: "Tomorrow's forecast: high chance of falling donuts..." and "Downtime for v38.10 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand."

Homer Clones will also be added to the game, although this particular feature may not drop right away. Fans can anticipate various bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.

That's not to mention game files for more new characters and the next Stranger Things crossover skins.

The early patch notes for Fortnite update 38.10 reveal new Simpsons gameplay features. These include:

  • Falling Donuts - via Homer's Zero Shard Remote
  • Homer Clones - via Homer's Zero Shard Remote

New Skins and Sidekicks:

  • Moe Szyslak Item Shop skin

General Fixes include a Fortnite Crash Reporter upon exiting the game. The patch notes state: "Some players on PC may see a Fortnite Crash Reporter error pop-up when closing the game.

"Please note that your gameplay progress is safe, and we'll have a fix for this in a future game update."

Further changes are as follows:

  • There's a missing player interaction animation when holding a weapon and interacting with a Sidekick.
  • When the Interact button is pressed on a controller with a weapon equipped, it may trigger the 'Can't perform that action' animation and message. The player's animation doesn't play, while the Sidekick's still does.
  • Mr. Dappermint seems to have misplaced his bow tie. Mr. Dappermint's bow tie might not display correctly when previewing the Outfit in the Locker.
