Lenskart opens 'evolv' concept flagship store in Mumbai
Lenskart has unveiled Lenskart evolv, its first concept flagship store in India, at Worli in Mumbai. The store was launched on October 23 in the presence of Chairman and CEO Peyush Bansal. Lenskart describes it as a first-of-its-kind format that rethinks eyewear retail by combining design, technology, fashion and culture, so that glasses are treated as a way to express personal style and not only as a functional product.

The store is built around the idea of “Vision Beyond Retail.” It has a futuristic, chrome-finished look, and Lenskart says the layout is designed to make shopping feel like discovery. The company plans more such stores in future, but says they will be limited and exclusive, so evolv is not a replacement for its regular outlets.
Lenskart says evolv ties together several digital tools. Customers can take an AI-assisted eye test and speak to a remote optometrist, and a digital shopping assistant helps them explore the collection. The experience is supported by in-store technologies, including one called Tango Eye, which the company says makes finding eyewear more intuitive and personal. The release gives no detail on how these tools work, what they cost or how they differ from those in Lenskart’s existing stores.
Bansal said the future of eyewear will be shaped by how people discover and experience products as well as by the products themselves. He said technology has always been central to Lenskart, and that evolv extends that thinking to the retail experience. He called the store the first expression of a broader vision for concept eyewear retail and said there is an opportunity to rethink what an eyewear destination can be.
Lenskart evolv is at Trade View, Utopia City, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Worli, Mumbai, and is open to customers now.
